Functioning as the link between local
Ethernet and wireless network, LANCOM Wireless access
points add portability and flexibility to company networks.
The high-end LANCOM 3050 Wireless model offers the highest
performance and security for your investment.
Using an integrated radio module and
a second CardBus interface, up to two radio cells can
be operated in parallel, doubling transmission capabilities.
At the same time, the CardBus architecture ensures that
you will be able to upgrade to future wireless technologies
in the 2.4 to 5.x GHz range at speeds of up to 54 Mbps.
Another pioneering feature is support
of the Power over LAN standard. As a result of this
alternative power supply from the network cable, you
are able to conveniently locate your access points independently
of conventional electricity supplies.
The LANCOM 3000 series also sets the
standard for security: Authentication through 802.1x/EAP
or Open User Authentication (OUA), WEPplus encryption,
and firewall filters effectively protect the network
from external threats.
For portable networking of notebook
and desktop PCs, LANCOM's wide range of products includes
the AirLancer Wireless network adapter for PC card,
PCI and USB-as well as AirLancer Extender antennas for
indoor and outdoor use.
