office communications services such as fax and RAS network
coupling, 10/100-Mbit switching and dial backup are
the highlights of the new state-of-the-art communications
solution now offered by Cipher Communications.
The LANCOM 1621 ADSL/ISDN is a high-speed
router for small and medium-sized enterprises, teleworkers
and power users. Due to its extremely flexible and integrated
ADSL modem, the router supports all essential ADSL standards
and implementations.
The intelligent integrated 4 port high-speed
switch can be easily managed without a crossover cable.
The LANCOM 1621 ADSL/ISDN guarantees availability per
dial backup via the additional ISDN port and simultaneously
provides the possibility of remote access (RAS) and
remote maintenance.
The integrated LANCAPI extends the router
to a gateway for office applications like fax or other
ISDN applications for the whole network. An efficient
firewall, detailed monitoring, accounting and content
filter functions for all network stations characterise
the professional focus of the router.
Due to the optionally available IPSec-based
VPN technology, the LANCOM 1621 ADSL/ISDN can be used
for economic and secure network coupling of branches
as well as for the connection of teleworkers to the
company’s network.
Furthermore, the patent pending LANCOM
Dynamic VPN procedure allows, for the first time, fast
and uncomplicated installation of cost-effective VPN
solutions via the administration of dynamic IP addresses.
