Cipher Communications Pty Ltd announces expansion plan for New Zealand.

Cipher Communications Pty Ltd a wholly Australian owned supplier of IT security products, today announced the company's most significant development to date. They announced their intention to aggressively pursue expansion in to the New Zealand IT market.

While many would brand the move a "risky one" in view of the current climate in the IT market, Cipher Communications seems unconcerned by the instability and is one of few IT companies planning expansion when many others are faltering.

We have watched the New Zealand IT market carefully for some time and have waited for the right opportunity to make our move. Now that we have cemented our position locally, we now believe that we can focus on expansion, we don't wait for our competitors to prompt us and therefore we decided to take the lead and make it happen!

It has been the better than expected reception to their newly launched 'netCipher' firewall which has achieved four times the expected sales and been sold Internationally three months ahead of target, Coupled with the success of the Common Criteria accredited BlueCrypt, that has established the platform from which Cipher will move. Both of these factors should see Cipher duplicate their Australian success story in New Zealand, where IT trends and Government purchasing generally reflect those of the Australian market.

Current Australian partners of Cipher Communications who have representation in New Zealand will have the opportunity to extend their local teaming arrangements, this is the obvious and logical path, however Mr Janjic did not rule out the possibility that they will look to appoint new partners.
Cipher Communications' move into the New Zealand market is just another phase in their push to be a true one stop security provider to the Australian and New Zealand IT industries.
