Cipher Communications Pty Ltd Announces the release of 'netCipher'

Cipher Communications Pty Ltd a wholly Australian owned supplier of IT security products, today announced the release of their long awaited netCipher Firewall and VPN Gateway.

netCipher is a next generation firewall product designed to challenge the medium to medium-high range of firewall products and was welcomed with both local and international sales on its day of release.
"We are very pleased and encouraged in receiving an international order for this product so early in its lifecycle. While we expected success in the International marketplace we did believe that it would be some months before we would make any substantial impact in that arena" said Sladjan Jovic, Managing Director Cipher Communication Pty Ltd.

On the local front, our strategy of working closely with our Partner companies to revisit current customers has also come relatively quickly. "We knew that the local potential was always going to give us quick results, as many of our customers were aware of the products development and awaiting its launch to trial, and then purchase a state-of-the-art firewall and VPN appliance" said Jovic.

Bouyed by the phenomenal early interest and sales of their new product, Cipher Communications plan to aggressively attack the already congested firewall market. These early results are confirming our belief that a user friendly, feature packed product without the price tag one would expect, has found its niche in the marketplace.

Cipher Communication Pty Ltd had originally planned to release netCipher to market on the 2nd of September 2002, however due to the success of our research and development, we were confident to release the product to market weeks ahead of its planned release date. "Market demand for the product also played a key part in its early release, however we were not prepared to put it to market until we were confident it met our high expectations" Jovic said.

netcipher is just the first in a long line of IT security products that Cipher Communications intend to bring to market, and is the start of Cipher Comms' push to be a true one stop security provider to the Australian IT industry.
