netCipher - due in September

Cipher Communications Pty Ltd a wholly Australian owned supplier of IT security products, today announced the launch of their first proprietary product.

'netCipher' is a next generation firewall product designed to challenge the medium to medium-high range of firewall products available on the market today.

"We are looking to bring a product to market that will give the end user product features found only in the high end price range products at a mid range price" said Sladjan Jovic, Managing Director. "While everyone acknowledges that the firewall market is a congested one, a product that is carefully positioned can still make an impact in a competitive market. Cipher communications will use their existing partner network to bring their new offering to market."

With an existing install base of firewall products Cipher Comms expects their first market initiative to be a cost effective product refresh for those clients already using their products. "These are customers we know and who know us, we will make them an offer to trade our existing products and ensure that we maintain the level of service they have come to expect from us.

The product is due to be released on the Australian market in September of this year; however this could be pulled forward due to the positive indicators of the early Beta testing.

"We have been so impressed with the testing that we expect if all goes accordingly we may launch the product a month earlier, however we want to be assured that the testing has been carried out in its entirety" Jovic said.

'netcipher' is just the first in a long line of ITsecurity products that Cipher Communications intend to bring to market, and is the start of CipherComms' push to be a true one stop security provider to the Australian IT industry.
